Writing Contest

 

Elementary Student Writing Contest

In celebration of the 175th Anniversary of the Village of Romeo, students are invited to submit an original writing project.  Romeo students in grades K-5 are encouraged to join in the celebration by entering.

The theme of the celebration is “Romeo Through the Ages”

 

The rules are as follows:

1. Student will submit an original writing project to their teacher by Friday, February 8, 2013.
2. Submissions must include a completed entry form.
3. Each grade level will have a first and a second place winner.  All winners will be announced on February 22, 2013
4. Winners will attend the 175th Anniversary Open House on March 9, 2013 and will have the opportunity to read their entry as part of the celebration.

 

A panel of judges will select the winners from each grade level.  All grade level winners will receive a framed certificate, an invitation to share their entry as part of the a75th Anniversary Open House, as well as their picture in the newspaper to commemorate this special event.

All students are encouraged to enter as our community celebrates this historic event!
